obviously inspired by the scary version of the song…
Eeeesh. This was not meant to turn out as long as it did, but oh well!

Summary: This is what Ghirahim tells himself...
That is some horrible wording there - as I do not have a “Skyward Sword” as you so aptly put it. I am no Goddess blade, nor would I ever desire to...
What’s your guys opinion on all this “Is Ghirahim offensive.” drama that’s going on?
Here’s the article in case you want to read it - http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/comments/is-ghirahim-offensive
I think it has a lot to do with North Americans not understanding Japanese culture. Ghirahim, as a character, does not offend me in any way (and I’m gay). I think the North American mindset, and way of viewing him and automatically placing him into the ‘gay’ stereotype is more offensive.
What offends me are people like unmentionable Youtube Parody channels that automatically voice Ghirahim with the stereotypical North American gay male ‘lisp’. =/

oh boy, more straight people who find a flamboyant character from a game where nobody’s sexuality is ever defined EVER offensive to gays
i just came of from reading that omg…
Well, swords also don’t have spirits. And swords can’t be used to successfully dowse either. This is Zelda after all, where the logic can be so screwy that there’s even been a term coined for it, “Zelda Logic”. I’d hesitate to say either Fi or Ghirahim is canonically Asexual just because they are sword spirits. Don’t get me wrong, I’m ace, and I would LOVE it if there were more canonically Asexual characters. In Zelda though, the character’s sexualities are usually never explicitly stated. So maybe Ghirahim’s Asexual. He could also be Bi, Homosexual, Heterosexual, or any other potential sexuality. There really is no definitive answer.
Exactly. I think it all this drama comes down to most North Americans not understanding Japanese culture.
Pathetic Avengers Fangirl: On Shipping and Fanboys
This is my letter to angry fanboys.
First, let it be known that I love most fanboys. When I go to a con, most of the guys there are respectful. They share a passion with me, and that’s awesome. We’re…
In response to this:
Them: What? You think Link is gay in OoT? Just because I recoil from immodest things does that make me gay? And Link follows after Shiek because he seemed to know more than Link obviously. He was the one who taught him the songs, and he was his ally.
Me: I do, yes. But…
Sexuality doesn’t exist? THAT is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.
So this person is homophobic AND an idiot? Two in one.

i just came of from reading that omg people get off it and if he was??? the ambiguous nature of it is what makes zelda great can we just say that Ghirahim doesn’t limit his options and leave it like that?
sarkyfancypants said: I have a headcanon that while Zelda was unconscious while Link was battling Demise, Groose might have confessed his love to her, he knew she could not hear him but that took a weight off his chest. :’D I ship them so hard it hurts…
New headcanon accepted.
